  • you will use the website only for lawful purposes.

2. Products

Refurbished and Modified Products

Products sold by RetroModded are often refurbished, restored, rebuilt, modified, or custom-configured products. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, they are not new factory-original products.

Depending on the product, our work may include restoration of original hardware, replacement parts, flash storage upgrades, battery replacement, USB-C modification, Bluetooth modification, cosmetic refurbishment, and other clearly disclosed modifications described on the relevant product page.

We aim to describe our products clearly so customers can understand what is original, what has been replaced, and what has been modified before placing an order.

Independent Brand Notice

RetroModded is an independent seller of rebuilt, restored, and modified classic electronics. RetroModded is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. or any other original manufacturer unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Any third-party brand names are used solely where necessary to identify original hardware compatibility, source materials, or product history. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

3. Product Information and Availability

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, availability, and configuration options are accurate and current. However:

  • product images are for general illustration and may not reflect every exact cosmetic detail of an individual refurbished or modified unit;
  • color, finish, and cosmetic condition may vary depending on the product and the nature of refurbishment or restoration work;
  • product availability may change without notice; and
  • product specifications and options may vary depending on the selected configuration and disclosed product details.

Where a specific product page provides more detailed information about the product, included modifications, lead time, or limitations, the product page controls for that product.

4. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

All prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, typographical errors, or product information errors before or after an order is placed. If a clear pricing error affects your order, we may contact you with the option to reconfirm or cancel the order.

We may accept payment through payment methods made available at checkout, including payment services provided by third-party processors. Payment processing is handled by those providers subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

Applicable taxes, duties, fees, or similar charges may be added or may apply depending on your shipping destination, local law, and checkout settings.

5. Custom-Built and Made-to-Order Products

Many RetroModded products are built to order, modified to order, or prepared in small batches based on the customer’s selected configuration.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • certain products are prepared specifically for your selected configuration;
  • build work, sourcing, assembly, testing, or preparation may begin after an order is placed; and
  • order changes, cancellations, returns, refunds, and warranty handling may be subject to the relevant product page, Shipping Policy, and Return, Refund & Warranty Policy.

6. Shipping, Delivery, and Fulfillment

Shipping time and build time are separate. Estimated build times, dispatch timing, shipping methods, transit estimates, and shipping limitations are described on the relevant product page and in our Shipping Policy.

Unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page, build work, assembly, testing, and dispatch for many custom-configured products are handled from our Hong Kong workshop.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout. RetroModded is not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete customer-provided shipping information.

International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs clearance delays, or other destination-country requirements that are outside our reasonable control.

7. Order Changes and Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it.

If build work, configuration work, sourcing, or product preparation has not yet started, we will generally try to accommodate reasonable change or cancellation requests.

Once build work, configuration work, sourcing, or product preparation has started, changes or cancellations may be limited or unavailable because many products are made to order or modified to order.

Orders cannot be cancelled once shipped. After shipment, any eligible support, return, refund, or warranty handling will be governed by our Return, Refund & Warranty Policy.

8. Returns, Refunds, and Warranty

Returns, refunds, and warranty handling are governed by our Return, Refund & Warranty Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.

In summary:

  • non-defective custom-built or modified-to-order products are generally not eligible for return after delivery unless otherwise stated;
  • damaged, defective, incorrectly fulfilled, or materially not-as-ordered products may qualify for repair, replacement, refund, or another appropriate resolution as described in the Return, Refund & Warranty Policy; and
  • eligible products may be covered by a limited warranty subject to the terms, exclusions, inspection requirements, and category-specific rules described in that policy.

9. After-Sales Support

RetroModded provides after-sales support for eligible orders.

Because many products are custom-built and may be shipped internationally, after-sales support may include remote diagnosis, troubleshooting guidance, replacement parts, repair, return, or other appropriate solutions depending on the issue.

For the most accurate product information, support expectations, and category-specific limitations, customers should rely on the relevant product page and the applicable policy pages.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purpose;
  • interfere with the website’s operation, security, or integrity;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or other users’ information;

  • submit false information, fraudulent orders, or misleading claims; or
